A 13th Birthday Party

It's official. As of this evening, I am the proud parent of a teenager.

He's old enough now, to ask for cash, instead of presents, and not to want any pinatas, or baby games at his party. And, I was happy to oblige him, to a point.

I'm not quite ready to give up on games, altogether. So, I gave him his present...in ones...folded up...inside of balloons.

I think we have a new tradition.

It's great to be a homeschooler.

That is awesome! My brother used to love giving cash to friends, and he would make a quarter pounder. He'd tape quarters to a piece of cardboard for the patty. Then he'd put some ones in for lettuce, and more cardboard on the outside (which might be colored) for the buns.

Happy birthday! How exciting for T. He still looks like such a kid in that photo. By the way, my husband loves to make origami penguins out of bills - he did several for wedding presents :)

Happy Birthday!

It sure looks like your son had fun popping the balloons to get his birthday presents.
