Today, while the younger girls busied themselves making...
...Lois Ehlert inspired...
...playdough pies (using our sweet scented Valentine's playdough)...
...the older children got to work...
...transforming chocolate sugar cookie dough...
...into Pi...
...to go along with Cindy Neuschwander's Pi themed math adventure...
But first, we watched the Cyberchase "Spheres of Fears" episode at PBS-Kids, and a quick Brainpop "Pi" feature, which is free today, even if you don't have a subscription. How terrific is that?
It's great to be a homeschooler.

Q: What do you get if you divide the circumference of a jack-o-lantern by its diameter?
A: Pumpkin pi.
What a lovely way to celebrate Pi Day!
That's so sweet! What fun it would be to homeschool your kids.
I love that you celebrate Pi day and that playdoh pie looks good enough to eat!
So I feel like a slacker for missing out on pi day! But you gave me great ideas for next year, thanks!
