I made them the same way as the snowflakes from Christmas, except that I added a few drops of red food coloring, to a nearly empty bottle of glue, before making the hearts on wax paper.
Then, it was just a matter of waiting for them to dry, and gently peeling them from the wax paper...
...wetting them down...
...and sticking them to the window.
You want to make sure they are in complete contact with the window. And, don't worry about the drips (or the messy kitchen reflected in the window).
Just wait for the clings to dry completely, and then wipe the smudges away using your fingertip, in a clean, dry towel, with a little window cleaner. As for the messy kitchen - I clearly can't help you with that.
With the left over red glue, I squeezed out a couple of extra hearts, onto some yarn...
...to make Valentine's necklaces, for the younger girls, too. They won't be long lasting, as the glue will tear apart, if they pull on it. But, the girls were pretty pleased with their surprise, this morning.
It's great to be a homeschooler.

I have to make some of those clings! The necklace will be a big hit here too!
It's time to update our windows display too, but we mostly do contact paper art. Very cute necklaces and the picture of their owners. I take it D didn't get one :)
Raising a Happy Child - I offered to let the boys model them for the picture, but they declined.
Darn, I meant to pick up wax paper at the store today. I wonder if freezer paper would work.
Ticia - Freezer paper should work, as long as you use the waxy side, or a smooth piece of tinfoil. You could probably do them right on your counter, you'd just have to be careful not to break them, when pealing them up.
Have you ever tried making window clings with dimensional fabric paint? Check out my post here...
