Perusing Mr. Poppers Penguins...

We just finished that book a few weeks ago and my kids loved it!

We play a game similar to this whenever we have peas for dinner. For the duration of the meal, no one may say a word that begins with the letter "P". It has taught my children a lot about synonyms and resulted in a ton of fun at dinner too! :)

Ticia - I really like the old fashion feel of the book - and the ending is so funny.

Kari - What a great game! We might have to borrow that one :)

This sounds fantastic! We love the book and the movie but peanut butter sounds pleasantly perfect!

Michelle - Positively!

I can't believe we still haven't read that book. It would go really well with our Antarctica study (on account of the penguins rather then Mr Popper!)
Will have to get it now and also make some heart peanut butter, because everything tastes better if it is heart shaped!

We love Mr. Popper's Penguins, almost as much as we enjoy alliteration! Well done :)

Ooh I want to try your recipe! Any recommended golden syrup substitutes?

Maryanne - For this recipe, I'd say honey. It doesn't taste at all the same, but it would still be good with the peanuts :)
