Weekend Projects - Pumpkin Snickerdoodles and Candy Corn Slippers
I hope you've had an excellent weekend. We certainly have - with cold, stormy rain outside, and warm, delicious, pumpkin snickerdoodles inside...
...with old movies...
...and a crochet project to keep my hands occupied, and away from said plate of cookies.
I found the pumpkin snickerdoodle recipe at Crepes of Wrath (click the link to go to the recipe). The dough is a sticky, globby mess, but don't despair, if you are a snickerdoodle fan, and the Man of our House just happens to be such a fan, then you are sure to love them.
The slipper pattern is from Crochet Spot, and couldn't be easier. It only calls for a single crochet, is adjustable to fit any size foot - which is a good thing, because everyone ended up wanting a pair, makes cozy and comfortable slippers, and can easily be divided into thirds for a candy corn color scheme. That's important too, because National Candy Corn Day is just around the corner.
It's great to be a homeschooler.

That just sounds lovely...*SIGH*...
I love snickerdoodles, and the slippers are adorable - wish I had both right now!
Those slippers are adorable.
