So, apparently, not only will ladybugs eat their own larvae, but the larvae will happily munch away on the pupae. It's only fair...
...but I'm not sure we'll ever look at ladybugs in the same way, again. Forget shark week - if you're looking for cold blooded eating machines, it's ladybugs you want.

So gross! I had considered getting the Insect Lore ladybug kit, but I think I'll pass now!

I wonder why they didn't mention this on our ladybug larvae kit?
We have studied ladybugs before and I had never known that they are cannibalistic. It shows that nothing beats nature study observations.
