One of the definite pros of homeschooling is not having to get up at the crack of dawn, every weekday, to get ready for school.
One of the cons is that if there happens to be a total lunar eclipse at 5:30 in the morning on a Saturday - there's no way your mother is going to let you miss it.
Of course, there's always the chance that she would have woken you up to see it, even if you went to public school.
It's great to be a homeschooler.

Wow that is cool!
I'm totally with you on not waking up early.
I saw it when it was high up and then fell asleep at 5:30am before the total eclipse.
Joyful Learner - I was up early, and then fell asleep waiting. I dreamed that we watched the entire thing, and then went back to bed - luckily I woke up again, and realized I had been dreaming, just as it was starting :)
Wonderful photos! Too bad we couldn't see it on this coast. I wrote about this very same thing once... http://homeschooljournal-bergblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/school-when-lessons-present-themselves.html
Amazing!!
My kids are up at dawn every day. They are early risers just like Dad. Mom???? Not so much. I would love to sleep in... until 8 or so would be great!
The only person in this family who loves sleeping in is my husband. Cool pictures! We completely missed it this time.
I love it!
