This looks so easy I think I will make my own kids' clothes this way! My four year old may have trouble holding still while I sew up around the inside of his legs, though . . .
My mom was a seamstress and made dresses, wedding dresses for the bride and the wedding party so there was always plenty of fabric. I didn't have a 'real' Barbie because it was just too expensive but I had a Tressy (her hair grew with a turn of the key) To keep me out of her hair, she would give me remnants and needle and thread and showed me to sew the clothes on.Now that I am a grandma, and have two of my own Barbie's I have to give this a try for my grand-daughter.Seems I saw a naked Ken next door-will have to go and visit!! Thanks for the memory
Snip the back just the tip of your scissors. I did something similar with baby doll. Love felt love your ideas. Many barbies to dress for Christmas. Mom of many girls and grandgirls.
I'm a homeschool mom of six. My family has been homeschooling for about seventeen years. And, each year, we've learned a little more about having fun, and spending less, while learning more. It's great to be a homeschooler!

I used to make clothes like that as a girl.
Those are the most adorable outfits. Now I am off to find some felt for Selena's Barbies.
I love it. One day...
CUTE!
Great ideas! I will have to remember this when K gets older.
Awesome! Does the dress come back off?
Yes, but not easily. I'm trying to encourage the younger girls to leave the dolls dressed :)
These are so cute! My daughter is just learning to sew and this is a perfect project for her. Thanks for sharing it. :)
I'll have to show my girls this. They LONG to make doll clothes!

You could cut a slit in the back and sew a snap on it if you wanted to be able to take them on and off more easily.
Easy & Fun :)
