Summer Fun 2014 - A Game of Frozen Potato
Frozen Potato is a lot like the game of Hot Potato, except that the "potato" is an egg shaped ball of ice, made by freezing water inside small balloons. Be sure to tell children the rock hard, frozen balloons are NOT for throwing at each other.
Instead of passing off the potato, as fast as you can, and the person stuck with it being out of the game...
...the goal is to hold onto it, and melt it...
...for as long as your hands can take the cold, up to a 30 second limit, with the other players counting off the seconds, before handing it off to the next player.
A player's turn is immediately forfeited if the potato slips from their hands, and touches the ground.
Play continues until the ice is completely melted (5 to 15 minutes depending on outside temperature).
The winner is the player left holding nothing but a small puddle of water by the end of their turn.
I can just imagine, "Hey catch the potato!"
ReplyDelete"What?"
*Thunk*
Uh oh better call the doctor
Great game, I'm sure this will be a blast with my kids.
Ticia's comment made me laugh! I love how simple yet entertaining it is. And practically free too!
