How To Make A Dragon (Snack)

Halve, and core a pear.

Stick chocolate chip pupils on, with squished marshmallow halves.

Add raisin nostrils.

Cut out small wedges...

...for cashew horns.

It's great to be a homeschooler.

  1. So cute! Since I know you guys are doing a dragon theme right now, have you checked out the handprint dragon craft on Activity Village? (http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/handprint_dragon.htm) We haven't actually done it yet (I think we might wait for Chinese New Year), but I think it's gorgeous, and I'm a sucker for hand print crafts in general.

  3. What kid wouldn't want to try a pear when it looks that adorable? I'm going to try that to see if I can get my kiddo to try a "new" fruit.

  4. Fun snack! We're planning on giving these as favors for my daughter's dragon-themed birthday party. I'm wondering how you got the raisins to stick on the pear. Thanks!

  5. Holly - Thanks! It's been a while since I've made one of these, but if I remember right, I made little slits in the pear, and pushed the raisins into them - I don't think they were very secure though. Better to have on the table ready to serve.
