It's official. As of this evening, I am the proud parent of a teenager.
He's old enough now, to ask for cash, instead of presents, and not to want any pinatas, or baby games at his party. And, I was happy to oblige him, to a point.
I'm not quite ready to give up on games, altogether. So, I gave him his present...in ones...folded up...inside of balloons.
I think we have a new tradition.
It's great to be a homeschooler.
Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteHow much fun was that!!!
Cool, Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteMine is today :) !3th
How cute! Congratulations to you both for entering the teenage world. I have three of them now. They are fun and interesting!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Balloon idea sounds tons of fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! My brother used to love giving cash to friends, and he would make a quarter pounder. He'd tape quarters to a piece of cardboard for the patty. Then he'd put some ones in for lettuce, and more cardboard on the outside (which might be colored) for the buns.
ReplyDeleteLove it! What a fun idea! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! How exciting for T. He still looks like such a kid in that photo. By the way, my husband loves to make origami penguins out of bills - he did several for wedding presents :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteIt sure looks like your son had fun popping the balloons to get his birthday presents.
I love it! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI have a 13 year old son too. He would love to receive some of those balloons. Welcome to the moms of teens club!
Happy B-day T!!
