I remember when my boys (and daughter) hit that 'taller than mom' milestone! They were so excited and couldn't help but talk about how short I am all day long for days on end. I had remembered doing the same so I tried not to be irritated after the 100th 'mom is so short joke'...LOL...Now the boys are just about taller than anyone and it really comes in handy when I need to reach something on the top kitchen shelf all the way in the back. No more straining for me. Nope. I just call on one of my boys to help me out.:)
Thanks for stopping by . . . I totally remember how excited my boys were to get taller than me. But at 5'1", I got to remind them that it really is no big deal to accomplish that. Rather short sighted of them, I punned :)
And I'm not worried about the potty training - we're actually having fun with it. New stage, new confidences, all good for her attachment and development. And gives her one more group of shared memories of "When I potty trained" in common with her older sibs. Plus, the added bonus is all the peeking at cute little buns that Mommy and Daddy cherish :)
Oh no, you'll never hear the end of this.
ReplyDeleteJungle Girl, who's 8, already can share shoes with her Nana!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how quick they grow up...

ReplyDeleteLOL, mine can't wait till he is bigger than me, he shuffles up for a crafty measure against me when he thinks I won't notice.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will be that long, he is only nine, but I'm not that tall.
So love this...reminds me of my post on a pre-man living in our house. They do grow so fast.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed,
Janette
LOL - Love it! With two girls and a mother-in-law who's barely over 5 feet, I doubt my kids will ever grow taller than me. Poor things. :)
ReplyDeleteThey grow too fast! PS LOVE the soap boat idea! We are gonna try that tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how fast they grow? It won't be hard for my son to pass me up, I am 5'2"
