We put together a quick boredom buster bottle game, recycling two old pop bottles, four milk cap rings, and two pieces of yarn, about 10 feet in length each. To make one yourself, follow the instructions below.
Cut the bottles in half.
Tape the top portions together, with the small openings facing out.
Lace the two pieces of string through the bottles.
Tie one milk cap ring to each loose end of string.
Have two children stand ten feet apart, holding two of the rings in either hand. They pull the rings apart by extending their arms out, and the bottle zips back and forth, between them.
If the bottle doesn't zip well, shorten the strings a little, or try a smoother type of string, like a fishing line, or embroidery floss.
It's great to be a homeschooler.
Do you think that would work with water bottles?
ReplyDeleteWe used the smaller sized pop bottles. I would think water bottles would be about the same.
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestion! I drink far too much coke, so it'll make me feel better to think I can use the bottles for something useful...lol.
ReplyDeleteI remember playing with these! We'll have to give this a go :-)
ReplyDeleteVery good idea, we'll try it! Thanks!
