So I guess she wants to keep reading :)Natalie PlanetSmartyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03531558038661679151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-598841562237715955.post-79525349515090087112019-02-13T19:18:25.546-08:002019-02-13T19:18:25.546-08:00Camie - I've thought that about several of the...Camie - I've thought that about several of the series I've read lately, where the writing seems to be aiming young, but the content is more mature.

Natalie - It is very much like the bachelor. In the first book it made me think of the story of Queen Esther - maybe from one of the other girls' points of view - but without the sex or harem. I'm curious to hear if Smarty keeps reading it or not. It was worth playing parts of it out loud in my house just to get the eye rolls from the boys as they passed through the room :) An Almost Unschooling Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07784076035361200243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-598841562237715955.post-65521874861083664532019-02-13T09:56:53.582-08:002019-02-13T09:56:53.582-08:00Hmm... She is able to put the book away when she feels that romance overpowers the plot, so I am still willing to let her read the first one. However, from what you describe, it's like dystopian Bachelor, so I don't think she will be drawn in by the series.Natalie PlanetSmartyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03531558038661679151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-598841562237715955.post-16836296552106566022019-02-13T02:56:14.429-08:002019-02-13T02:56:14.429-08:00It's a shame to me when an author of teen fict...It's a shame to me when an author of teen fiction especially does not write wholesome stories. Thankfully, my daughters have been able to find clean romance for teens and adults. Camiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17019972786838081366noreply@blogger.com
