Pi Day Activities

Today, while the younger girls busied themselves making...


...Lois Ehlert inspired...


...playdough pies (using our sweet scented Valentine's playdough)...


...the older children got to work...


...transforming chocolate sugar cookie dough...




...into Pi...


...to go along with Cindy Neuschwander's Pi themed math adventure...


But first, we watched the Cyberchase "Spheres of Fears" episode at PBS-Kids, and a quick Brainpop "Pi" feature, which is free today, even if you don't have a subscription. How terrific is that?

It's great to be a homeschooler.

    Though, pi number cookies could substitue.....
