It seems like time is moving faster than I am, these days. Gosh, that was the least of my worries! I have actually never intentionally taught my children any of the things you mention, but I'm fairly sure they can do them all....maybe I ought to ask them, just in case!claireshomeeducationhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06697524025087880484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-598841562237715955.post-36648426882582355462016-08-21T19:47:14.115-07:002016-08-21T19:47:14.115-07:00Great list :) As a parent of a public school child...Great list :) As a parent of a public school child, I can attest to the fact that they do learn all these things, plus raise their hands when they want to ask a question. My daughter now does it at home when she wants to interrupt me and my husband talking :)Natalie PlanetSmartyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03531558038661679151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-598841562237715955.post-64976718973691114732016-08-19T12:23:34.816-07:002016-08-19T12:23:34.816-07:00It sounds about right. I always laughed at the assumption our kids won't learn how to stand in line, when they stand in line every week at the grocery store and so many other places.Ticiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17970101432834731044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-598841562237715955.post-49781790611093400602016-08-18T10:50:41.967-07:002016-08-18T10:50:41.967-07:00Wonderful! You're right, though, it's good to think about the little things everyone should learn at some point. I think writing out a check, how to use a debit card, and shopping online responsibly are good skills for teens to know, also. Great post!
